Enjoy!
Happy Holidays everyone! We haven't posted in a while so I thought I'd give a little update on what's going on in the Dublum family.
First up - Moses Mayes!
It's been an interesting and sometimes difficult year with two founding members leaving us - Mark and Grant. Both have gone off to do very cool things. Mark is in Vancouver working on his solo project - Cyclist, and Grant continues to work as an agent with Paquin Entertainment bringing great music to a show near you!
Meanwhile, Antin and I have been hard at work getting the new Moses album ready for release. We are extremely excited about it. Yes, it is going to be released much later than I had hoped but the wait will be worth it! As a little hint as to what you can expect - it looks like we are going to be licensing a Herbie Hancock song (I won't say which one, you'll just have to wait!) and I just spent a week working with Maiko Watson on a few of our songs and they are sounding amazing. No firm release date yet but I promise we are working our asses off to get it done asap!
Next - Beauchamp.
We had said the release would be late October... oops. Obviously that didn't quite happen but it will be coming soon! In the meantime, if you're in the Winnipeg area, you can catch him at various clubs around town and this New Years at the LoPub - check the Facebook event page for more details.
Lebeato
We have had to pull back a little from Lebeato as we focus on getting the Moses album done, but we have 2 tracks waiting in the wings that we plan to release early 2012.
And finally - Dublum Records!
You have probably noticed that we now have tshirts available. If you'd like to support us and the music that we are making, please consider picking up a shirt. They look great and you're supporting a very good cause - great music! You can order by emailing us with your order and location so we can work out the shipping.
A big THANKYOU! to all the people that have taken the time to send us an email or a facebook message checking in to see how things are going. Please feel free to get in touch with us any time with questions or comments. And again - Happy Holidays!

The video is directed by Lena Franford and Troy Giesbrecht and shot over one beautiful spring weekend in Winnipeg. It meets my quota for gratuitous gear porn shots and launches into a commentary on how sharing music is not evil. Or something like that. Many thanks to everyone who was in it! Thanks also to the stock pile of old tape decks in the back room of American Hi-Fi.
The funny thing about shooting this video was that I got all nostalgic for my old tapes. I put in LL Cool J - Bigger and Deffer, Urban Dance Squad ha!... some live Bjork bootleg I remember buying at Into The Music. I introduced my girlfriend to Stevie Wonder via the mixtape I made right after I discovered him...so good! I also found tape after tape of me playing guitar or drums or whatever... I need to archive this stuff! Anyway, check out the video and pass it around.
